Renowned for his iconic and spectacular millinery, Louis Mariette has created some incredible designs which have been adorned by Lady Gaga, Dame Joan Collins, Paris Hilton, Kate Moss, Amanda Holden, Beverley Knight and other glamourous ladies. Having spent an exciting childhood in Botswana, Louis was inspired by the exotic vibrant colours of flora and fauna that can be seen in his creative designs. He famously served as the co-host and TV presenter for the BBC’s coverage celebrating the historic 300 years of Royal Ascot, alongside his appointment as the official Investec Derby milliner for the network’s racing coverage.
Beyond the racetrack, Louis brought his sharp eye for fashion and design to mainstream television as a celebrity judge on Series 5 of Britain’s Next Top Model. His exceptional creativity and artistry have also earned him prestigious international recognition, including a distinguished award from the Tanzanite Foundation.
The Louis Mariette Perfume is a luxuriant 100% non-alcoholic oil that puts understated refinement to a new level, with a curated blend of 18 luxuriant notes from Louis Mariette’s travels to the far East. Key aromatic notes include: Banyan tree leaf, Bergamot, Green Mandarin, Ylang-Ylang, Iris, Orchid. His old-fashioned belief and philosophy is creating a unique, highly personalised one-of-a-kind customer experience for his ladies and gentlemen, based on elegance, compassion, kindness and joy.
Louis’ initial object d’art perfume bottle display cabinet is an Oriental inspired creation with auspicious symbolisms with the most intricate and exquisite of detailing. This masterpiece has been a 5-year journey for Louis with charismatic designing skills, elevating style and refinement for his clients. Demonstrating his skills in wood cabinetry, lathing, clay sculpting and carving, Louis has worked on each side of the cabinet column with lattice work. This was imaginatively thought through with symbolisms such as intertwined Japanese cranes, lotus buds and lotus petal feet.
The intertwined Japanese cranes are beautifully formed within the design to symbolise love, marriage and longevity. The entire cabinet is elegantly perched on delicate lotus feet with secret draws cleverly disappearing within clusters of lotus buds, making it truly worthy of a museum masterpiece.
The pinnacle of the cabinet is a three colour handblown layered crystal bottle, with the most ornate perfume dipper. The dipper in itself is an art piece, showcasing hand carved green crystal and Jasper stones, and stems cast in sterling silver with the King Charles III hallmark.
