Sarita Handa, renowned for its luxury hand-embroidered textiles, recently welcomed more than 30 designers, clients and prospective clients to an intimate four-day showcase at Arlington House Apartments in London.
Hosted by the team from Sarita Handa’s head office alongside the brand’s UK Head, Nadia Minkoff, the event placed the collection in a residential setting, allowing guests to see each piece as it might appear within their own home. Bed linen, table linen, cushions and quilting were displayed across a wide variety of fabrics, showing the exceptional hand-finished embroidery for which the brand is known, alongside stylish print variants for bedding plus linen and knitted throws.
New colourways brought a warm, earthy richness to the collection, in tones of terracotta, taupe, bark and muscovado. Beautiful linens, fine cottons and sumptuous velvets formed the canvas for the brand’s fabulous quilting and intricate embroidery, layered together to create a look of quiet, understated luxury.
Among the highlights were three original hand-stitched quilts, crafted more than thirty years ago. They are a reminder of the heritage and artisanal skill that remain at the heart of Sarita Handa’s work today.
The showcase also marked the launch of a new addition to the Sarita Handa offering a dedicated service for the hospitality sector. Spanning specialist wall coverings through to the highest-quality fabrics for bed linen, the range brings the brand’s signature craftsmanship to hotels and hospitality projects.
With an enthusiastic response from designers and clients alike, the event was a celebration of craft, colour and texture.
