Celebrate St Patrick’s Day at Guinness Open Gate Brewery London

This St Patrick’s Day, there are plenty of festivities taking place at Guinness Open Gate Brewery London

With St Patrick’s Day approaching, Guinness Open Gate Brewery London is marking the occasion with the ultimate celebration in its event space, The Guinness Vaults, on Tuesday 17th March (6:30–10:30pm) showcasing the best of Irish talent in comedy, music and performance.

The evening will be hosted by Irish comedian, Rory O’Hanlon (below middle),  along with live performances from folk song writer and harpist, Molly Donnery (below right), and Dublin-based rapper, KhakiKid (below left). Guests can enjoy food from a pie stall and pints of the black stuff from the bar. Tickets are £35pp and go on sale on Thursday 27th February via opengatelondon.guinness.com

Alongside the headline event, the brewery will be running a host of St Patrick’s Day experiences onsite from 13th–17th March, including:

  • Old Brewer’s Yard: Live music and oyster shucking in Old Brewer’s Yard
  • Celebratory Menu at The Porter’s Table: A limited-edition menu celebrating Ireland’s rich culinary heritage at modern British grill, The Porter’s Table, curated by Executive Chef Pip Lacey 
  • Limited Edition Beer: Visitors will be able to enjoy a limited edition Irish Breakfast Tea Amber Ale from Master Brewer Hollie Stephenson across the site from 13th-17th
  • Brewery Tour Surprises: Those on Open Gate Experience Tours can print a custom, green image on top of their pint

Guinness Open Gate Brewery St Patrick’s Day Programming 

Old Brewer’s Yard:

Guests can watch live oyster shucking by Wright Brothers, and enjoy live music three times daily (12pm, 3pm, 6pm).

Mercer Walk Brewery: 

Those on Open Gate Experience Tours can print a custom, green image on top of their pint and will be able to enjoy a limited edition Irish Breakfast Tea Amber Ale from Master Brewer, Hollie Stephenson.

Culinary Experiences: 

Visitors can explore Ireland’s rich culinary heritage with a limited-edition St Patrick’s Day menu curated by Executive Chef Pip Lacey, who previously worked with Gordon Ramsay and led Murano, Angela Hartnett’s Michelin-starred restaurant.  The Porter’s Table will be offering dishes inspired by the emerald isle, from Guinness soda bread to butcher’s skewers showcasing whole animal cuts.

  • For the table: Raisin and caraway soda bread, butter and charcoal salt
  • Starter: Poached salmon boxty, crème fraiche
  • Main: Guinness braised beef stew, champ, bone marrow sauce
  • Dessert: Triple layered Guinness cake, malted milk ice cream
