Swiss Haute Horlogerie manufacturer Audemars Piguet is pleased to unveil two new 38 mm Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet Selfwinding models adorned with natural stone dials. Uniting Haute Horlogerie craftsmanship and the unique properties of materials shaped by nature, the two references showcase the distinct characters of gold obsidian and black onyx, each expressing a timeless visual identity. Formed over millennia, gold obsidian features mineral inclusions whose reflections are revealed in the first model through meticulous craftsmanship.
The stone’s dark surface is enhanced by a sunburst motif that comes alive when paired with the 18-carat yellow gold case, creating a subtle dialogue between shadow and radiance. A shimmering black alligator strap completes the design’s refined interplay of light and texture. The second model combines an 18-carat pink gold case with a mirror-polished black onyx dial featuring baguette-cut diamond hour-markers. Renowned for its depth and intensity, onyx requires the utmost care and attention to detail in the finishing process to reveal the purity of its surface.
Its sleek black aesthetic creates a refined contrast between the warm hues of pink gold and the brilliance of diamonds, lending clarity, balance and elegance to the design. This understated sophistication is extended by a sleek black alligator strap. Together, these two creations enrich the 38 mm Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet Selfwinding line with natural stone dials, showcasing materials whose striking colour, texture and depth have been shaped by time and brought to life by savoir-faire passed down through generations.
