ESCAPADE SILVERSTONE UNVEILS THE CIRCUIT’S FIRST EVER SCULPTURE PARK

The circuit’s motorsport-inspired art collection includes artworks from Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst, David Yarrow and Keith Haring worth £2 million

Escapade Silverstone, a trackside hotel and restaurant at the iconic Silverstone circuit in Northamptonshire, has unveiled a new sculpture park comprising of 12 extraordinary motorsport-inspired pieces exclusively by British sculptors. The pieces are a welcome addition to Escapade Silverstone’s existing collection of impressive and unique motorsport-inspired artworks worth over £2 million, including iconic artists such as Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst, Keith Haring and David Yarrow.

The artworks are a true celebration of motorsport and craftmanship. The collection was curated by world-renowned Art Director, Renata Fernades:

“The Escapade Silverstone Sculpture Park is a space where the worlds of fine art and motorsport collide in the most captivating way. Each piece has been thoughtfully curated to reflect the passion, innovation, and legacy of racing, while championing the exceptional talent of British sculptors. Each piece is connected to motorsport in a unique way. We’re proud to present a collection that is not only visually powerful but also ever-evolving — offering guests a truly unique and immersive cultural experience at the heart of Silverstone.”

Among the standout artworks is Lord & Lama’s Gorilla (£70,000), exuding power and presence. Jonny Ambrose captures automotive elegance with Skeletal (£23,000)– a striking sculpture of the Porsche 917K, meticulously crafted from carbon fibre and aluminium. Shaun Gagg showcases extraordinary craftsmanship with his larger-than-life 2p Coin Bull (£33,000), welded from over 100,000 two-pence coins, alongside his sleek and sculptural Jaguar (£14,000).

Sarah Mae Francis’ Enzo (£11,050) is a dynamic horse formed from car parts and sheet metal, complemented by The Knight (£14,625) (aka Mr Silver Stone), a powerful figure. Holly Hickmore’s The Olympian (£70,000), cast in foundry bronze channels classical form with contemporary grace. Michael Turner’s Gorilla in Stainless Steel (£45,000) stands as a commanding presence. Will Carr’s Fluidity (£19,900) evokes motion through minimalist form. Tom Hill impresses with two distinctive pieces: the dramatic Velociraptor (£35,000) and the refined automotive tribute, Ferrari GTO (£65,000).

The sculpture park is available to any guests staying, visiting or eating at Escapade Silverstone and will continue to evolve as pieces are sold and new pieces are added. All the artworks on display are available for purchase.
