Gerald Charles is glad to announce its official entry into the world of padel. The move marks a new chapter in the brand’s sporting journey, building on its established ties to tennis and reflecting Gerald Charles’ ambition to align itself with disciplines defined by precision, performance and passion.
To lead this new chapter, Gerald Charles has named Gemma Triay as its main Friend of the Brand for padel. Born in Mahón, Menorca, in 1992, Triay is the current world No. 1 in the FIP international ranking and one of the most successful athletes in the history of professional padel, having held the top ranking position for four seasons, including the current one. Her record includes 52 career titles and multiple world championship victories in the most prestigious Majors of the Premier Padel circuit. Beyond her sporting achievements, she is widely recognized as an ambassador for women’s padel, championing equality in prize money, visibility and playing conditions across the sport.
“Padel embodies the same values that define Gerald Charles: precision, intensity and an uncompromising pursuit of excellence. Gemma Triay is not only the leading player in her sport, but a figure whose leadership and vision extend far beyond the court. We are proud to welcome her into the Gerald Charles family as we open this new chapter for the Maison,” says Federico Ziviani, CEO of Gerald Charles.
