A Sunny Outlook on the French Riviera for Solestia Group

New hotel group announces the acquisition of three four-star hotels in Cannes – with a further hotel and a restaurant in Nice to follow

Committed to creating destinations with a strong identity, based on attention to detail and inspired by the Mediterranean spirit, new hotel group Solestia is making a remarkable entry into the French Riviera market.

The group has announced the acquisition of three iconic four-star hotels in Cannes, perfectly located close to the famous La Croisette and Rue d’Antibes: Hotel Verlaine, Hotel & Spa Cézanne and Hotel Renoir.

With a total of 106 rooms across Classic, Superior and Suite categories, these establishments mark the starting point of the group’s development, driven by a vision of hospitality focused on people and guest experience.

“Solestia embodies light and hospitality, two pillars of our vision. We aim to create places that are both elegant and sincere, where human warmth meets the beauty of detail. A tribute to the Mediterranean, to the art of living and to a timeless beauty that unites the southern shores,” explains the group.

Foundations for something special

Across its three Cannes establishments, Solestia has launched a major renovation and refurbishment programme, representing a total investment of €500k. Work has already begun at Hotel Renoir and Hotel Cézanne and will soon be extended to Hotel Verlaine.

Hotel Renoir, scheduled to reopen at the end of February, will notably benefit from a complete redesign of its lobby and breakfast room, created by an architecture firm Bleu Gris based in Nice.

Hotel Verlaine will also undergo refurbishment works, although it currently represents the most advanced version of the brand. A former Belle Époque-style mansion, it features 46 rooms and suites spread across the four-storey main building and its annex, known as L’Atelier.

Inspired by jungle themes, graphic art and butterflies, all rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with a minibar, safe, free internet access and a flat-screen TV. Bathrooms include hairdryers, bathrobes, large towels and welcome amenities by NUXE. A true haven of well- being, where Mediterranean softness is ever-present, Hotel Verlaine also features a private shaded patio away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The hotel also offers a bar, a meeting room and private parking, catering to both leisure and business guests.

Solestia does not intend to stop there. As part of its development strategy, following the acquisition of its first hotels, the group is also planning to open the four-star Hotel Posidonia and the Sacha restaurant in the heart of Nice in 2026. Both projects are currently under construction.
