This month Amazónico Mayfair is bringing the spirit of Brazil’s beloved Festa Junina to the heart of London with a month-long cultural takeover inspired by one of the country’s most vibrant annual celebrations. Running throughout June, the immersive programme will transform the Berkeley Square destination with live music, Brazilian-inspired food and cocktails, late-night events, and a striking art installation created in collaboration with London-based Peruvian artist Gisella Stapleton.
Known for her colourful, botanically rich works celebrating Latin American culture and storytelling, Stapleton has created 10 hand-painted balões (traditional Festa Junina lanterns) as part of a larger 50-piece installation suspended throughout Amazónico’s bar.
She has also designed 40 bespoke hand-painted clay cocktail glasses, which will be used to serve a limited-edition Brazilian cocktail featuring cachaça, pineapple, ají panca and lime.
Guests can experience a packed calendar of celebrations including Tropicalia Night, an energetic late-night party featuring DJs, live percussion and Brazilian dancers, Tropicalia Asado, a festive Saturday lunch event, and weekly DJ and percussion performances every Thursday throughout June. Complemented by exclusive Brazilian-inspired dishes added to the menu, Festa Junina at Amazónico offers Londoners a unique opportunity to experience the colour, creativity and communal spirit of Brazil without leaving the city.
