At the heart of the festivities is the Veuve Clicquot Après Lodge which surrounds a cosy fire pit, where guests can indulge in a feast of seasonable bites and alpine inspired cocktails and glasses of champagne from the iconic Veuve Clicquot.

The Veuve Clicquot Après Lodge will be the season’s must-visit destination, with fur blankets, skis, and firewood bundles offering a winter escape inspired by the chalets and slopes of Verbier. Nestled between the W Lounge and The Perception Bar, the Après Lodge menu will feature spiked hot chocolate, fondue and ski slope inspired cocktails, such as the Black Run cocktail, along with Veuve Clicquot champagne, creating the perfect setting for an intimate gathering. The Après Lodge will be available for private bookings of up to 16 guests.

For the duration of the ski season (until 28th February 2025), each Saturday and Sunday, W London’s Afternoon Tea will take on a transformation with their Après Tea. Guests are able to enjoy the Après Tea offering throughout the winter months, elevating the Après Lodge experience.

Menu highlights include dishes such as crisp potato rosti topped with sour cream and smoked ham, or the beetroot and dill smoked salmon with keta caviar, “Sloping Scones” and a range of their “Sweet Peaks”, pastries shaped like snowballs, mountains, and skis, paired with a selection of seasonal teas. For an extra delight, an alpine inspired Black Run cocktail or a glass of Veuve Clicquot Champagne can be added onto the journey down the slopes. This seasonal twist on afternoon tea will transport guests from the streets of London to the snowy European Alps with this elevated winter experience.

Max Allen: Christmas Tree Installation

To complete the alpine atmosphere, W London has collaborated with Max Allen, renowned London based designer, famed for his work with textiles and taking on societal issues through his designs, to create an eye-catching Christmas tree that will be displayed in the reception and a wreath decorating the hotel’s lobby. Blending modern design with creative flair, the tree will be a visual highlight of the season, embodying both the bold energy of W London and the creativity of the artist.

Allen says, “Taking inspiration from folk art rosettes , couture silk flowers and metallic Christmas decorations I will decorate an oversized 2 metre wreath in handmade foliage, flowers and textile drapes mixing historical Christmas traditions with the modern fashion and art that is connected with W London. This decoration will flow through to the reception where a tree will be decorated in these elements.” – Further information HERE
