Mount Irvine Bay Resort

The award-winning Mount Irvine Golf Course in Tobago was designed by Commander John D. Harris and has long been regarded as one of the finest in the Caribbean. Opened in 1969, this PGA championship quality 18-hole course is carved out of 126 acres of the gently rolling grounds of an old coconut plantation. The course features spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea and retains many charming features of its plantation heritage.

From inception the Mount Irvine Golf Course has been a favourite with professional and recreational golfers alike, attracting top golfers from all over the world to participate in high profile tournaments. The course was selected in 1969 to host one of the tournaments in the UK television series “Shell’s Wonderful World of Golf” and has also twice hosted the Johnnie Walker International Pro-Am.

World Golf Awards named Mount Irvine Golf Course the Best Golf Course in Trinidad and Tobago for the past three consecutive years – 2015, 2016, and 2017. Mount Irvine Bay Resort (formerly Mount Irvine Bay Hotel & Golf Club) also won the 2017 trophies for Best Golf Hotel in Trinidad and Tobago, and the Best Golf Hotel in the Caribbean, beating eight regional contenders in this category. This year World Golf Awards has once again nominated Mount Irvine Golf Course and Mount Irvine Bay Resort as Best Golf Course and Best Golf Hotel in Trinidad and Tobago respectively.

The golf course has recently been upgraded under the stewardship of General Manager Jason Patterson. Club members benefit from a better playing experience while resort guests can choose from attractive Stay and Play packages.
