La Maison Rémy Martin at Claude Bosi

Since 2014, LA MAISON RÉMY MARTIN has been nurturing the next generation of cognac aficionados through unique and immersive experiences and talent-led masterclasses with take-overs in central London. Consistently visionary, Rémy Martin has taken previous successes to a whole new level with a permanent residency – opening a brand new bar dedicated to Cognac Fine Champagne in the Ground Floor space of a much loved London institution.

LA MAISON RÉMY MARTIN RESIDENCY AT CLAUDE BOSI will continue to house a series of unique, curated events and signature masterclasses throughout 2018 and 2019, hosted by reknowned talent across London’s food and drink community as well as those from the lifestyle, arts and culture scenes. It will unite a family of multi-talented individuals and friends of Rémy Martin who will celebrate their passions and craft, following Rémy Martin’s philosophy: rooted in exception and rooted in talent.

In addition, the new bar will serve completely new and seasonal cocktails as well as expertly crafted food pairings created by chef Bosi, encouraging guests to discover the many facets of Rémy Martin. The drinks menu will also be available in the first floor restaurant Claude Bosi at Bibendum and includes the Baptiste; a crisp refreshing long drink made with Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal, the iconic classic Royal Sidecar made with Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal and Cointreau or the Maison Old Fashioned; a complex short drink with Rémy Martin XO, fig liqueur, salted honey syrup and bitters to be enjoyed after dinner.

Chef Claude Bosi, proprietor of Michelin starred restaurant Bibendum says:

“Rémy Martin shares many of my values: the passion for craftmanship, talent and terroir and ultimately the enjoyment of excellent food which can really bring to life the different aspects of cognac. I am very excited about this collaboration and creating something new and innovative in Bibendum, which has always been an integral part of London’s food scene.”

Designed by Sir Terence Conran himself, the new space is inspired by the heritage of the Michelin building and its iconic features, and brings to life the tradition and vision of Rémy Martin. The new space and bar features materials including pewter, wood and stone, evoking the chalky soil and Limousain oak of Cognac. The furtniture includes the one of a kind Bibendum chairs; creating a harmonious and sophisticated space which remains true to its roots.

Sir Terence Conran says:

“I have always considered myself to be one of England’s great Francophiles and I think my lifelong love affair with France runs deep through my design for the building. I have been true to the original promise I made to Michelin when I bought the building that I would keep faithful to the honesty and style of the original building. I hope they will be proud of my design. In some ways the Rémy Martin Bar is a visual homage to Monsieur Bibendum and I have tried to capture his cheeky effervescence, especially the back shelves which reflect his glorious, 2 star undulating belly. The Charlotte Perriand Bibendum chairs complete the look perfectly. Claude Bosi has also been a huge influence on the design so I have tried to capture some of the energy, charm and French class which he has shown the restaurant.”

ABOUT RÉMY MARTIN

Since 1724, Rémy Martin has been led by extraordinary men and women who turned a small piece of French terroir into one of the world’s finest cognacs from Fine Champagne — a signature blend of Grande and Petite Champagne crus. Using fruit from only the highest-quality vineyards, the chalky soil of the region provides the ideal conditions to ripen the grapes to perfection. Once distilled, these grapes become eaux-de-vie infused with a palette of rich and unique aromas — the heart of Rémy Martin’s collection of harmonious and complex cognacs, refined over three centuries. Consistently visionary, Rémy Martin has shaped a heritage that dares to look to the future, celebrating nature, honouring craftsmanship and embracing the luxury of time.
