Isabel Mayfair Ushers in a Taste of Spring

Mayfair restaurant and bar welcomes New Chef, New À La Carte Menu and Sunday Brunch

Isabel, Mayfair’s chicest hideaway, is set to usher in the Spring with a new Head Chef, new à la carte menu and Sunday brunch this March. Isabel’s new menu will champion Mediterranean cuisine with a distinct Latin twist, transporting diners to sunnier climes.

With Head Chef Patricia Lago Vigil at the helm, diners can expect indulgent dishes inspired by her Spanish heritage that continue to use the best quality, seasonal ingredients. New starters of Lobster Salpicon, with pico de gallo, avocado & Isabel cocktail sauce, the Isabel salad of variegated kale, blood orange, crouton & parmesan cheese and Labneh with heirloom tomatoes are followed by vibrant mains of Grilled octopus with avocado cream, gold kiwi vinaigrette & smoked paprika, Secreto Iberico and Fillet of wild sea bass picada, with an accompaniment of Humita (a native South American corn-based dish). Designed to share or be enjoyed fully plated, the menu embodies the generosity and conviviality of the Mediterranean with flavours from Latin America, reimagining familiar dishes the Isabel way, whether guests are stopping by for a working lunch or settling in for a long, laid-back dinner.

For those looking to end their week in style, Isabel’s Sunday Brunch returns, from 12pm – 3.30pm offering 3 courses for £55 including a brunch cocktail, set against the backdrop of live music from their band Casa, evoking the glamour and ambience of sun-drenched coasts across Latin America and the Mediterranean. Guests can expect starters of Smoked Salmon on Brioche with passion fruit hollandaise & gherkins or for those seeking something lighter there’s the Açai bowl with granola. To follow, there are larger dishes of Mushroom Quesadilla with Romesco sauce and Bloody Mary Baked Beans & spicy chorizo. To finish, desserts include Pineapple Carpaccio, hibiscus & jalapeno and Blood Orange Tart with Marshmallow.

The skilled bar team continue to specialise in reimagined classics such as the Rosetta 75, a twist on a French 75, infused with berries and garnished with a rose petal & dehydrated lychee, or the Golden Negroni with Seventy-One Eau Nuit Gin, Cocchi Americano Vermouth Bianco & Beesou, a bitter honey aperitif.

As the nights draw in, the music is turned up and the Mayfair hotspot transforms into a late- night destination as their resident DJ creates a buzzy atmosphere every night of the week. Downstairs, the Dragon Room awaits for those seeking a clandestine tipple, where revellers are greeted by a silk-walled, sultry lounge bar that comes alive after hours.

Isabel’s New À La Carte Menu is available from March.
