The two Gladstone Axe Whiskies are a modern twist on classic Scotch and were created with the aim to demystify Scotch and encourage a broader audience to try whisky in cocktails and as a mixed drink, perfect for Summer drinking.
The whiskies were created in honour of William Gladstone, four-times Prime Minister during the reign of Queen Victoria. In 1860 he signed the Spirts Act which allowed the blending of Scotch Whisky for the first time, essentially creating the Scotch Whisky industry as we know it today. An exceptionally smooth blend of single malt Scotch whiskies from Scotland’s finest single malt distilleries, matured in American Oak Bourbon barrels. The whiskies are made from 100% malted barley and are from 14 different Highland and Islay single malt distilleries.

50ml The Gladstone Axe The Black Axe | 125ml Cherry Juice | 25ml Parts Lime Juice | 1 Hotel Starlino Maraschino Cherry
In a cocktail shaker pour The Gladstone Axe The Black Axe, cherry juice, lime juice, and an ice cube. Shake and strain into a glass filled with ice cubes and garnish with a Hotel Starlino Maraschino Cherry.

50ml The Gladstone Axe American Oak | Soda
Just add The Gladstone Axe American Oak to a long glass with ice and top with soda. Garnish with a slice of orange.
— Slightly Sweet & Refreshing —
50ml The Gladstone Axe American Oak | Mint Leaves | 1tsp Powderered Sugar | 1tsp Water
Muddle the mint, sugar and water in your glass. Add ice and a shot of The Gladstone Axe American Oak. Give it a good stir and garnish with a mint sprig.

Shake over ice, strain into a tumbler, and garnish with slice of orange.

75ml The Gladstone Axe American Oak | 40ml Starlino Vermouth | 1 to 2 dashes of bitters (to taste) | Hotel Starlino Maraschino Cherry to garnish
Into a mixing glass filled with ice, pour The Gladstone Axe American Oak, Starlino Vermouth and bitters. Stir well and strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with a Hotel Starlino Maraschino Cherry.

75ml The Gladstone Axe American Oak | 40ml Stambecco Amaro | 15ml Hotel Starlino Vermouth | Orange Peel to express and garnish
Into a mixing glass containing ice, pour The Gladstone Axe American Oak, Stambecco and Hotel Starlino Vermouth and stir. Strain into a coupe glass. Express an orange peel on top and garnish.
