Celebrate Negroni Week in style
With Negroni Week happening this week, we wanted to feature a few of the best recipes and flavours as well as amazing events going on to celebrate in style this year.
Discover the Negroni-tini with No.3 London Dry Gin
Savour an elegant mini serve of the classic cocktail at Mayfair’s Donovan Bar, crafted with the world’s most awarded London Dry Gin

The Negroni: iconic, distinctive, unforgettable. This Negroni Week, from 22nd to 28th September, No.3 London Dry Gin invites cocktail lovers to raise a glass to Italy’s most celebrated aperitivo – reimagined with Mayfair finesse.
At the heart of the celebration is a flight of Negroni-tinis: three petite serves showcasing the classic Negroni and contemporary twists, allowing guests to try and taste different styles of the timeless favourite. Featuring the multi-award-winning No.3 London Dry Gin, it distils the classic cocktail’s unmistakable character into elegant mini serves, served at the Donovan Bar in Brown’s Hotel, Albemarle Street, W1. The Negroni-tini flight will be available for £25 throughout Negroni Week at the Donovan Bar, where playful decadence and world-class mixology meet under the direction of maestro Salvatore Calabrese and Federico Pavan, the director of mixology.
Meanwhile, at the home of No.3 London Dry Gin, Berry Bros. & Rudd will be offering complimentary perfect No.3 Negronis from their shop at No.1 St. James’ Street, served between 5-7pm on 24th September. No.3 London Dry Gin can also be found in Negroni serves across London, including but not limited to The Four Seasons, Nopi, Rovi, 1 Lombard Street and Hoxton Bank Side. Alicia Stark, the Global Brand Ambassador for No.3 London Dry Gin, said: “The beauty of a Negroni is that it works with almost any gin. But to get that ultimate experience, the better the gin the better the drink. No.3 Gin is perfect for a negroni because of its focus on balance. The bitterness of our grapefruit, the spiciness of the coriander and cardamom works seamlessly with the Italian Bitters and Sweet Vermouth. In short, a No.3 Negroni is everything you love about the classic, taken to the next level.”
Born from the pursuit of perfection to create the world’s finest gin, No.3 London Dry Gin is the result of a two-year collaboration between master distillers and top mixologists from London’s oldest wine and spirit merchant, Berry Bros. & Rudd, and Dr David Clutton – the only person to hold a PhD in gin. With a unique flavour profile defined by a precise balance of juniper, citrus and spice, it is the only gin to have been crowned “World’s Best” four times at the International Spirits Challenge. Raise a chilled Negroni-tini this Negroni Week, and celebrate a classic cocktail refined with precision and flair.
No.3 London Dry Gin will be available from fine wine retailers, such as Berry Bros. & Rudd for £39.50 RRP (70cl, 46% ABV).
Bittersweet Bristol: Introducing the Psychopomp Negroni

The Iconic Italian aperitif has had a West Country makeover by the innovative and experimental Psychopomp Microdistillery, based in Whitehall, Bristol. The Negroni – said to have been created in Florence – traditionally has equal parts gin, vermouth and Italian bitters.
Liam Hirt, Founder of Psychopomp Microdistillery says, “I have never been convinced by this overly convenient ratio. We use a slightly higher proportion of gin. It’s much more balanced.” The base of the Psychopomp Negroni is their signature Wōden gin. Created with single shot distillation for superior taste and quality, the gin balances perfectly with Bristol’s own Aperitivo Co’s Italian Bitters and sweet Turin Vermouth.
The result is a smooth yet bold serve with the slightly higher kick of gin making for a distinctly juniper-led experience. Blended with intensely rich Bristol-made vermouth and bitters from The Aperitivo Co!, there is smoothness, incredible depth, a premium quality, almost creamy tasting Negroni bursting with citrus flavours and rich berry undertones.
Psychopomp Microdistillery was founded in 2014 by former-Cardiologist Liam Hirt and team. The distillery has created many ‘firsts’ in the distilling world – the first English Aquavit, (2016), the first English Absinthe (2016), even the first gin to be made using AI. In 2018, a sister site Circumstance Distillery was opened and it was the first distillery to produce whisky in Bristol in over 80 years. This foray into ready-to-pours from a powerhouse of UK distilling can be experienced in the comfort of your own home this Negroni Week. Bittersweet Bristol never tasted better – make sure to share with friends.
Serve a double measure of Psychopomp Negroni over ice with a grapefruit slice garnish – Follow @microdistillery for updates on new releases, and to hear about the innovative new English whisky blends, rums, vodkas and season gins, all hailing from the beautiful city of Bristol.
