Chapel Down unveils new ‘Wine & Dine Experience’ at its award-winning winery estate in Kent

England’s leading wine producer, Chapel Down, has launched a new Wine & Dine Experience at its winery estate in Tenterden, Kent. Launching ahead of English Tourism Week, which takes place from 14^th – 23^rd March, the experience invites guests to explore England’s flourishing wine scene through a guided vineyard and winery tour, a tutored tasting of award-winning wines, and a three-course dining experience at The Swan, Chapel Down’s acclaimed 2 AA rosette restaurant.

The experience begins with an expert-led tour of the winery and vineyards, followed by a tasting of five signature wines. These include Chapel Down Brut, the brand’s best-selling English sparkling wine, and Chapel Down Rosé, which was awarded a Best in Show trophy at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2024. The tasting also features the refined Chapel Down Grand Reserve vintage sparkling, as well as two exceptional still wines – Chapel Down Bacchus, a variety often described as England’s answer to Sauvignon Blanc, and Kit’s Coty Chardonnay, which was voted England’s Best Chardonnay at last year’s Wine GB Awards.

Guests will then enjoy a carefully curated three-course set menu at the acclaimed Swan restaurant, accompanied by two glasses of Chapel Down still wine.

Nestled in the heart of the Garden of England, the Chapel Down winery estate is just one hour from London by train.  The site includes vineyards, The Swan restaurant, winery shop, private function space, as well as herb garden.  It has been awarded the Trip Advisor Traveller’s Choice for the past three years, placing it in the top 10% of attractions worldwide.

The new experience is being launched ahead of English Tourism Week, an annual celebration led by Visit England to highlight the quality and economic value of domestic tourism. English wine tourism continues to thrive, with over 1.5 million people exploring English wineries in 2023 – a 55% increase on the previous year. 

The Wine & Dine Experience is available Wednesday to Sunday throughout the year, priced at £110 per person. The tour begins at 11:30 am, with lunch at 1:30 pm, concluding at 3:30 pm.
