Kent is known as being a bit of a foodie haven and local Bathtub Gin is leading the way in flavour innovation with its award-winning experimental and delicious flavoured concoctions. Known for a 7 day double infusion method, Bathtub Gin’s unique way of creating Gins with glorious flavour was inspired by ‘bathtub gins’ of old, where illicit gin was concocted in bathtubs during the prohibition era. Inspired by small-batch, handcrafted method, what has been created in Bathtub’s beautiful and modern distillery, (no bathtubs here!) adds beautiful nuances of flavour, a cut above the rest.

Bathtub Gin Grapefruit & Rosemary will be on the shelves in Sainsbury’s just in time for World Gin Day (8 June) this year. Created in honour of their loyal fanbase – who were asked to vote on what Bathtub should do next, this is a seasonal sipper that will give G&Ts a zesty, fragrant depth, and add a summery spin in Negronis to wow friends and family. 

A perfectly balanced blend, Juniper-led and bursting with fresh grapefruit and orange peel. Fragrant Rosemary is reminiscent of a summer garden: this is a sundowner with the perfect combination of history, craftsmanship and serious taste.

Every bottle is hand-wrapped, strung in distinctive paper and waxed. The handcrafted finish means every bottle is unique in its own way, making for a beautiful gift with a personal touch, perfect for the foodies in your life.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: The familiar wafts of full-bodied juniper, cardamom, and orange greet you, before the fragrant floral wafts of rosemary appear.

Palate: Fresh, juicy grapefruit notes make themselves known on the palate right away. Earthy hints of cinnamon, juniper, and more rosemary develop, all while maintaining Bathtub Gin’s characteristic creaminess.

Finish: Lasting hints of spice and sweet citrus.

Launched in 2011, Bathtub Gin has won over 40 industry awards including Gold at the World Gin Awards in 2019 and 2020. Founder Ben perfected the recipe after many iterations and trials before settling on the 6 botanicals now used in the tried and tested 7 day double infusion. After distillation, Bathtub Gin is cold-infused with orange peel and five other carefully selected fresh botanicals over seven days.
