A delicious day at the races

From Tuesday 16 June to Saturday 20 June 2020, Royal Ascot will once again take its place as a highlight of the British sporting and social calendar. With its inescapable sense of tradition, unprecedented style, breath-taking pageantry and racing of the highest calibre, the Royal Meeting is an unparalleled celebration of colour, elegance and excitement.

As well as hosting the world’s leading horse racing teams, Royal Ascot also features some of the country’s most revered chefs, making this already special occasion simply unforgettable. “Ascot Racecourse is a leading light in sporting venue gastronomy, and we have an incredible platform to showcase some of the world’s top chefs. Over the past years, Ascot has established itself as the highlight summer event in society’s calendar and food and drink play an intrinsic part of a race-goers day,” says Jonathan Parker, Director of Food & Beverage at Ascot Racecourse.

With a choice of 16 restaurants, including five Chefs-in- Residence with a collective 10 Michelin stars between them, 2020 will provide the most mouth-watering fine dining line up yet. Existing luminaries Raymond Blanc OBE, Simon Rogan and Ollie Dabbous will be joined by two new chefs as Brett Graham, two Michelin-star Head Chef of The Ledbury takes the helm of ON 5, whilst Skye Gyngell of Spring and Heckfield Place makes her debut in The Balmoral. Two new restaurants – Holyroodhouse and The Veranda at the Winning Post – will also add to the attractions of the Royal Enclosure.

From the specialist to the sublime, no dietary requirement or culinary request goes unfulfilled. Chef Consultant Ben Whale is designing a range of innovative plant-based menus for private boxes and restaurants, whilst all Chefs-in-Residence are creating their own plant-based options in their respective restaurants. Rounding off each day on a sweet note, Master Pâtissier Eric Lanlard will be delighting guests with a Royal Ascot Afternoon Tea menu including such mouth-watering sweet treats as Crème Catalane Éclairs and Blueberry and Amaretti Verrines.

Fine Dining packages start from £308 + VAT per person. From £595 + VAT for restaurants with Michelin-starred chefs, and Private Box packages from £745 VAT per person.
