Salon Privé, the UK’s most prestigious luxury automotive event, has shared a round-up of 10 stunning cars heading to its 20th Anniversary Concours next month. From the US and Monaco to Germany and Spain, it’s no understatement to say that the roster of curated cars comprises some of the best in the world. Taking place in the grounds of Blenheim Palace on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th August, here’s ten entries you won’t want to miss.

The Alvis

An actual Le Mans entrant and historically significant car, everyone has heard of Bentley taking the spoils at Le Mans in the early years, but this 1928 Alvis is a British marque that competed at the very highest level. It’s easy to see why this beauty scooped Best in Class at the 2023 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance.

The Cadillac

This 1928 Cadillac 341A Phaeton has retained many original features and is among the most magnificent open cars of the classic era, featuring a folding windscreen for rear passengers. With Harley Earl’s classic styling, this car was an important design for General Motors and will be heading to Blenheim Palace from Monaco.

The Invicta

Invicta celebrates its 100th Anniversary this year and Salon Privé is lucky to welcome this 1931 model to its 20th Anniversary Concours. For movie-buffs, this car was owned by Oscar, Tony and Emmy award-winning actor Christopher Plummer.

The Hispano Suiza

Not many cars can boast an 11.3 litre engine – but this stunning 1933 J12 ‘Labourdette’ Roadster from Hispano Suiza certainly can! Heading to Blenheim from New York, this motor is set to woo the Salon Privé crowd.

The Packard

Once owned by Charlie Chaplin Studios, this Packard 1407 Series All Weather Cabriolet was built in 1936 for $6,290 – the equivalent of over $110,000 today – as a special order only model. During its 50 years of private ownership, this Packard has appeared on both the big and silver screen, including the 1978 drama ‘The Betsy’ starring Laurence Olivier, Robert Duvall and Tommy Lee Jones.

The Pegaso

This rare Pegaso Z-102, from the small Spanish manufacturer, was one of only three lightweight competition coupes built for racing at the Barcelona Pegaso factory. It qualified for the 1952 Monaco Grand Prix and was driven by Joaquin Palacios. From the shores of Pebble Beach and now to Blenheim Palace for Salon Privé, this Pegaso, with its bold colour palate, and hand painted colour roundel, is a truly unique find.

The Ferrari

This 1953 Ferrari 212 Europa Coupé is one of the few surviving in the world. It underwent a complete restoration which took a mere seven years. Just 26 of the Ferrari 212 Inter cars received designation as ‘Europa’, and this is one of only four which were constructed as left-hand-drive examples.

The Bentley

A beautiful example of a truly classic British hand-built luxury car, this 1956 Bentley S1 convertible by renowned coachbuilder H.J. Mulliner will be on display at Salon Privé 2025. One of only twelve examples of this model, the current owner undertook a three-year restoration in Belgium and England.

The Mercedes-Benz Coupé

This 1957 300SC car is one of only nine built with a factory sunroof. It won Best in Class at The Quail in 2024 and took third place at Pebble Beach 2024 in a class of Post-War Luxury Vehicles. It also won the Mercedes-Benz Class at Amelia Island, Best in Show at the Pasadena Motor Classic and was 1st in Class at the Audrain Concours 2024.

The Triumph

This 1961 Triumph Italia 2000 by Vignale is a great example of a renowned coach-builder producing something which is totally different from its recognised form – some say it looks more like an early Maserati than a Triumph. This model was number 235 of a total 330 built.
