Taste the magic of Morocco
With a Michelin-starred chef on its books, it’s fair to say that The View Agadir takes its food seriously – The Luxury Report samples the delights

Introducing a new level of hospitality to Agadir, The View first opened its doors in March 2024, and caters to those seeking a blend of elegance, Moroccan authenticity and modern comfort. Alongside supreme relaxation, gastronomy is integral to the experience at this five-star hotel, and guests are invited to embark on a culinary journey across four restaurants, a tea lounge, and a stylish bar.
The Luxury Report was lucky enough to take this journey, revelling in a world of culinary adventure – not to mention an amazing spa experience or two.
Authentically Neapolitan
The View boasts a spectacular setting at the heart of Agadir’s beachfront, and from the moment we were welcomed into the cool, spacious lobby by Head of Operations Ghizlane Bounouar, we knew we were in an establishment that went above and beyond.
Lunch was enjoyed at the amazing Italian restaurant La Sensya, where Michelin-starred head chef Francesco Franzese and his team bring the very best of Naples to Agadir. Much of the produce is imported from Naples and the surrounding area, bringing an authenticity to the dishes rarely found outside of Italy. Members of the team also hail from the region and are happy to share their knowledge about the inspiration behind every dish.
And inspiration was very much in abundance when the plates were served. Pasta was taken to a whole new level in a sumptuously creamy fresh tagliolini with buffalo butter, parmesan and bagnoli truffle. Meanwhile, the rolled lamb breast with mashed potatoes, bagnoli black truffle, and lamb jus typified the kind of elegant, sophisticated cooking that impresses Michelin judges. The amazing flavour combinations hit all the right notes, as did the crisp Italian Pinot Grigio we enjoyed before remembering we had a date with the spa.

Total relaxation: Moroccan style
With its stylish ambience, Amaya Spa captures the very essence of Moroccan relaxation and offers an extensive range of massages and treatments. Tailored to meet each guest’s specific needs, we enjoyed a 90-minute personalised massage, transporting us to a state of absolute wellbeing and consigning any aches from the flight to distant memory. Our team also enjoyed a full Hammam spa treatment – expert massages and exfoliation treatments delivering a feeling of serenity rarely experienced. The indoor pool area offers a further oasis of tranquillity, the perfect environment to let your cares drift away.
Timeless cooking
Fusion cuisine takes centre stage at Mima Kitchen, with head chef Assia Manar taking ideas from all around the world and marrying them with her beloved Moroccan staples. As promised, the medallion of beef fillet boulfafe style, with risotto of ‘Lssane Tere’ and cumin ‘Beldi’ took the taste buds on a journey from Europe to North Africa, delighting every step of the way, the beef completely melting in the mouth.
The tagines at Mima Kitchen were every bit as good. Fish marinated with Atlas herbs, kept moist and full of flavour by this timeless cooking method, complemented by the most aromatic of herbs. We finished with dessert, with the delicious vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and whipped cream among the highlights. Finally, we relaxed at the table with a bottle of signature Moroccan red, satisfied diners indeed.
Adding to the culinary portfolio at The View Agadir, The Chay lounge is great for afternoon tea and escaping the heat of the day. Sweet and savoury delicacies delight at with every mouthful, washed down with an impressive range of tea and coffee. It’s all completely authentic and truly delicious.

And for the main event
Located within The View, Buddha Bar is highly recommended for terrific food and even better entertainment. While this global brand specialises in Pan Asian cuisine, it is so much more than a dining destination. We were blown away by our evening here: in between a heady, eclectic mix of acrobats, singers and percussionists, we enjoyed a totally delicious fusion Asian dining experience – Eastern flavours with a modern twist, and then some. When you come to the The View Agadir, be sure to make a date for Buddha Bar.
Great food on holiday is often all about flexibility. Which is where Le Dhieli comes in. This lovely spot for lunch is located in the pool area and has a laid-back vacation vibe. It’s open most of the day, meaning you can break out for a quick snack whenever you want. We ate here a few times, and it was always good, but the chicken and cheese enchiladas became the go-to for their spicy, creamy succulence. The burgers are pretty good too, generous and seasoned to perfection.
All about the people
As we gathered our bags in the lobby and prepared to sadly leave, we caught up with Rajaa Boutaba, the F&B Director at the hotel. She pointed out that as a five-star hotel, it’s also important that it’s a true home from home. And she’s right. For all of the stylish, yet understated luxury, we felt totally at home. And that can only be down to the wonderful staff. You see, when you come to The View Agadir, you will enjoy Michelin-starred dining, an incredible spa, and a whole host of other terrific restaurants and leisure experiences. But without the warm, welcoming, super-helpful team who made our stay such a joy, it wouldn’t have that all important ingredient – the true magic of Morocco.
