5-star freedom

After receiving an invitation from the 5-star Valle dell’Erica Thalasso & Spa, my family and I could not wait to discover all that this retreat had to offer. We had not been to Italy before, and we were keen to soak up the sights of Sardinia and to discover why so many regard this island a must-visit destination.

We’re a family who love to travel and frequently visit the Maldives, the USA and Dubai, yet little did we know just what we have been missing so close to home. With Sardinia just over a 2-hour flight from the UK, the white sandy beaches and crystal clear ocean are so easy to reach. Whether you’re looking for a family-friendly holiday or a place to spend a romantic break, Valle dell’Erica Thalasso & Spa has something for everyone. Part of the Delphina collection, this 5-star resort specialises in luxury and comfort down to the finest detail. The restaurants serve everything from fine dining to easy-going buffets. There’s a whole range of great tasting food, from freshly baked pizzas and authentic Italian pasta, to delicate fish dishes and a cultured selection of meats, olives, breads and delicious desserts. It’s handy to know they have a gym on site!

The resort offers one of the best children’s club my daughter has ever been to. As a parent it is very reassuring to know that professional and friendly staff are on hand to provide fun and entertainment. It allowed my wife and I some time on our own knowing our daughter was well cared for.

If you are looking for sport and adventure during your vacation, Valle dell’Erica Thalasso & Spa is the place for you. Both young and old can tee-off on the resort’s practice or 3-hole golf course, plus there’s the chance to have private one-to-one golf lessons – perfect for beginners. Other activities including trekking, kite-surfing, diving, fishing and much more are available. There are also private boat cruises, chartered helicopter rides, and private dining.

Valle dell’Erica Thalasso & Spa is full of nice surprises. Once, when taking a stroll we discovered a small restaurant tucked away near the ocean. Ready to eat, we were offered a private table with waiter service by the beach and enjoyed the most tranquil lunch of oysters and champagne.

If by any chance you’re not relaxed enough, the exclusive Thalasso Spa offers a range of treatments to bring out the best in you.

The resort boasts 271 suites, a spa, four swimming pools, a fitness centre, golf course, a children’s club and seven restaurants. For any business needs there are four meeting rooms available seating up to 25 people, plus a conference facility that can seat up to 450.
The Resort Valle dell’Erica Thalasso & Spa has created long-lasting memories for my family and I. It felt like a home away from home and we cannot wait to return.
