Marina Port Tarraco is a ‘special home’ for World Superyacht Awards Winners

Smooth sail to this UNESCO World Heritage Site!...

Some winners of the recently concluded World Superyacht Awards 2019  have given credit to Marina Port Tarraco to which they have considered “home”. Located at Tarragona, northeastern Spain, the port was dubbed as the “Home of Winners”. The respective awardees were recognised last Saturday, May 18, at a ceremony organised by the Boat International Media that occurred at the historic Old Billingsgate in London.

Based on innovation, design, engineering and construction, such awards were given to yachts that met the standards of being the world’s best. The nominations for this year include some of the most amazing and largest super yachts in the world, as well as categories for displacement (comfort) motor yachts, semi-displacement, and planning (speed) motor yachts and sailing yachts. Three categories are reserved for yachts that have been given major refits, have been completely rebuilt or converted and that were finished within the last year.

What makes Marina Port Tarraco a favourite? This gem is also a UNESCO World heritage located at the western Mediterranean. It is one of the few existing marinas of its kind in the western Mediterranean designed to offer deep water berthing for super, mega and giga yachts. A+ service will bring guests to smooth sailing memories throughout their stay – the latest technology, standards and security levels for the visiting VIP vessels in combination with the bespoke Concierge Service, will ensure that each yacht and crew receive a warm welcome and any personal assistance they might need, to make them feel at home.

Additionally, what makes this memorable experience here a complete package are 33 berths between 45 and 160 meters; a complete range of berthing facilities including 24hr security and CCTV surveillance, ISPS code complaint, shore power connections up to 1,600 amps at 400 V and 6,600 V / 2,000 VA electrical connection, waste pickup, MARPOL certificate, fresh water, High speed internet and TV Satellite services, berthing operational assistance on arrival & departure and exclusive concierge service to satisfy any possible request is what Port Terraco can greatly offer for its guests. That’s a lot to float on one’s boat, but it’s no surprise how it turned up to be favourable to a good number of winners of the World Superyacht Awards this year.
