Blenheim Palace announce series of unique new experiences for Bridgerton superfans

Dearest Gentle Readers… Blenheim Palace has launched a series of unique experiences for Bridgerton fans to enjoy

– All-new film trail to follow in the footsteps of the infamous cast and experience the original filming locations.

– Specially themed afternoon tea experience.

– String quartet performances of many of the show’s popular tracks.

Due to popularity amongst fans and visitors to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Blenheim Palace has announced that its all-new Bridgerton film trail, which launched earlier in the summer, has been extended for fans to enjoy until 25th November.

What’s more, exciting new features have been introduced including a Duchesses Afternoon Tea experience as well as popular tunes performed by string quartet trio Bridge Strings.

The new self guided trail lets visitors follow in the footsteps of the infamous cast and experience the original filming locations at Blenheim Palace. The tour guides Bridgerton fans over to the Great Court which was adorned with royal guards and opulent carriages whilst filming Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. Many of the lavish scenes from the hit prequel series viewers see at Buckingham House are included in the new film trail. For example, the Water Terraces, which were magically transformed into the enchanting outdoor space for the final ball scene in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is a key stop for visitors.

The film trail also leads visitors to wander through the exquisite State Rooms, including the Long Library which appears twice in episode 7 of the new Bridgerton season. Fans can visit the Saloon, another room that played an integral part of the story, where Queen Charlotte and Lady Danbury are seen playing an intense game of chess and stroll through the Water Terraces where Blenheim Palace is featured again in the season when the two older Featherington sisters are seen with their husbands in the final episode.

Whilst on the tour, fans should listen out for renditions of songs that feature in the series including Wildest Dreams, Yellow, Halo, Bad Guy, What About Us, Girls Like You as Blenheim has partnered up with string quartet trio Bridge Strings, who will be performing on select dates in September and October during the film trail*.

To celebrate the hit series and the extension of its immersive film trail, from 17th September to 10th November, visitors can also enjoy a newly launched Duchesses Afternoon Tea in the Orangery for £60 per person including a glass of pink fizz. The themed menu features Dowager’s Delights –  Victoria Sponge Cake, Floral Folly – Raspberry & Orange Battenburg, Crown Jewel Cupcake – Soft Centred Carrot Cupcake, Duke’s Decadence- Chocolate Brownie Mille Feuille, Regal Lemon Delight – Lemon Drizzle Loaf and Monarch’s Macaroons. Savoury options include ‘Promenade Petite Sandwiches’ such as Truffle Temptation – Egg Mayonnaise with Truffle & Baby Watercress, Salmon Soirée – Smoked Salmon, Lemon & Dill Crème Fraiche, Garden Gathering – Cucumber & Cream Cheese and Regency Ham Delight – Pulled Ham Hock & Parsley.

To complete the experience, a unique fan photo opportunity is featured at the end of the new trail, for visitors to take a selfie surrounded by a stunning archway adorned with wisteria.

The Oxfordshire-based attraction first appeared in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story as Buckingham House, but has since been featured for the first time in Bridgerton for the recently released Season 3 of the hit Netflix/Shondaland series.

*Performances by Bridge Strings will be on select days in September and October. Please check the website for updates on specific dates.
