Les Chalets de Philippe is positioned on a hillside in the alpine hamlet of Le Lavancher. South-facing, the chalets enjoy glorious sunshine all year round and overlook the breathtaking Chamonix valley and Mont Blanc.
The chalets and mazots have been restored with meticulous care and attention, and feature beautiful antique furnishing, exquisite decorations and paintings by the “masters of the mountain”. When night falls the hamlet is illuminated while Chamonix sparkles in the valley below.
There are a host of activities to keep you entertained any time of year. In the summer there are a range of incredible hikes to choose from, including a 30 minute walk to “La mer de Glace” glacier. In the winter, you are at the end of the famous off-piste run “la Pendant” – which starts in Les Grands-Montets.
From its lofty perch, Les Chalets de Philippe has uninterrupted views of Mont Blanc, Les Drus, Le Brévent, La Flégère. The forest, where reindeer roam, is rich in wildlife and is a real delight for bird watchers.
Both bed and bath linen are provided, all of which are of the highest quality. In winter bed sheets are flannel and in summer, embroidered cotton. Hermès toiletries can be found in all bathrooms and en-suites. All chalets are equipped with televisions, safes and wi-fi.
On your terrace you will find a private hot- tub, wooden table and chairs, a parasol and a barbecue. Also at your disposal is a Hammam chalet (steam room), a home cinema and a large 17th century dining room that can seat up to 14 people.
Guests can take advantage of a catering service, which gained a mention in the “Michelin Guide 2016”. The chef and his team can cook your meals and have them delivered to your chalets, or you can have your favourite dishes prepared in your chalet while you watch.
